NDIMRC Condemns Removal Of Kachikwu's As Nnpc's GMD

WARRI—Niger Delta Indigenous Movement For Radical Change, NDIMRC, an oil monitoring group which had earlier warned of plot to remove Dr Ibe Kachikwu as the Group Managing Director, GMD, of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari for his removal. Kachikwu was replaced with the former Group Executive Director, Exploration and Production of the corporation, Dr Maikanti Baru.

NDIMRC had earlier alerted of pressure mounted by Northern interests led by Baru, to be made the GMD of the state-run oil firm, before President Buhari finally succumbed on July 4, 2016 when he removed Kachikwu from oil-rich Delta State as the corporation’s executive head.

The group in a statement by its President, Nelly Emma, kicked against the sudden removal of Dr Kachikwu as the GMD of NNPC by the President, describing it as unfair treatment not only to the hard-working technocrat, but to the entire people of the neglected oil rich Niger Delta region.

“The whole world is our witness that we raised alarm in April this year that Baru was desperate to be the GMD of NNPC and was mounting pressure on the President to sack Kachikwu and now we have been vindicated.

“We are sad over the unfair treatment of Dr Kachikwu by the President. The former GMD was committed to the total reform of NNPC of which Baru was against. By the sacking of the hard-working Dr Kachikwu and replacing him with Baru, it is now clear to us as a group and the whole world that the President is not serious about his promise to turn NNPC around for the better.

“The appointment of Baru by the President is not in the best interest of the nation, but to satisfy the interest of the North. The removal of Dr Kachikwu at a most sensitive time, has raised concerns among stakeholders in the region that the administration of President Buhari has remained adamantly unresponsive to the accusations by the militants that some of the local oil firms exploiting the hydrocarbon resources in the Niger Delta region and polluting the environment belong to non-indigenes of the oil producing communities.

“Last April, our findings revealed that the Adviser On Gas to the GMD of NNPC, was behind a devilish rumour that Dr Kachikwu was sacked.” He has been very desperate to become the GMD of NNPC and we warned President Buhari to be wary of him, but the President never listened.

“It is unfortunate that the people of the oil-rich Niger Delta region are being treated this way. Dr Kachikwu brought a lot of changes into NNPC and the cabal in the oil and gas industry never liked him and rather than encourage him to do more for the sector, the President decided to do otherwise. The President has once again made a big blunder with the appointment of Dr Baru who never wanted the reforms of NNPC embarked upon by Dr Kachikwu.”

The group while accusing the new GMD of NNPC, Dr Baru as one of those who destroyed NNPC that Dr Kachikwu worked round the clock to bring back to life, said “Without apology, we want to say that Dr Baru do not mean well for the corporation.

He is a spoiler and has been too desperate to become the GMD of the NNPC. Dr Baru has never liked the reforms in NNPC and such a desperate man should not have been allowed to head NNPC as he will ruin the place that Dr Kachikwu worked so hard to fix up. Dr Baru is not the best man for the job.

“President Buhari should have fired Dr Baru as suggested by us last April. The new GMD of NNPC has been working with oil cabal to frustrate the efforts of Dr Kachikwu, especially in his bid to make NNPC a better place. Dr Kachikwu ended the fuel scarcity caused by Dr Baru and his co-travellers and rather than give him a pat on the back for a job well done, he was removed by the President and replaced with desperate Dr Baru who has nothing to offer,” the group said. Dr Baru’s appointment, the group said, raises questions as to whether he can lead negotiations to calm restive militants in the Niger Delta, who have renewed hostilities in the oil-rich region in a wave of attacks on oil industry installations.

The former NNPC boss, Dr Kachikwu, who for eight months had doubled as the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and will now serve as the Chairman of the NNPC board, had led a Federal Government team last month to negotiate a peace deal with the militants.

“Only last month, the hard-working Dr Kachikwu against threat to his life and members of his family took a risky trip to the troubled Niger Delta region to see things for himself at the controversial Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Gbaramatu Kingdom, in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State and his visit brought hope to the hopeless people of the region. “His trip to the area also helped to reduce the spate of attacks on oil facilities by rampaging militants.”

“The President should have honoured Dr Kachikwu for his hard work. We must say that we are disappointed with the choice the President made for the NNPC. Can Dr Baru take a trip to the Niger Delta region? As the new GMD of NNPC, can he plead with rampaging militants in the Niger Delta region to give peace a chance and they will listen to him? The choice of Dr Baru as the man at the helm of affairs in NNPC by the President is not the best.
“As an oil monitoring group, we are highly disappointed that the President decided to at this crucial time leave the affairs of the NNPC in the hands of Dr Baru who helped to destroy the corporation. We are not impressed that President Buhari in his bid to satisfy Northern Nigeria with more juicy positions at the detriment of the oil producing people of the Niger Delta region left the affairs of NNPC in the hands of a desperate Dr Baru, who will only sit in the comfort of his office in Abuja without thinking about the pains the oil producing people of the Niger Delta region are passing through,” the group stated.

Most Attractive Female Police Officers In Nigeria (photos)

Widespread police brutality is one of the problems in Nigeria as well as in other countries.
While conversations about solutions have been mostly focused on better training or a need for community engagement, a brilliant idea is being overlooked: increasing the numbers of women in the Nigerian Police Force.
According to recent studies, female officers are less authoritarian in their approach to policing, less reliant on physical force and are more effective communicators.
we bring you a list of amazing Nigerian female officers. They are beautiful, they are brave, and they can kick you in the face.http://www.genechy.co.uk/2016/07/women-in-law-see-most-attractive-female.html

EFCC Withdraws Charges Against Diezani And Akkani-Aluko

Justice Binta Murtala Nyako of a federal high court in Abuja has struck out the names of former Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, and a businessman, Chief Kolawole Akanni Aluko, from the criminal charges filed against them

While Madueke is in the United Kingdom, Akanni -Aluko is said to be at large.

Justice Nyako struck out their names after the prosecution counsel, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs, SAN, made an application to that effect‎.

Alison-Madueke and Akanni-Aluko were initially charged alongside Babajide John Omokore‎, Atlantic Energy Brass Development Ltd, Atlantic Energy Drilling Concept Ltd, Victor Briggs, Abiye Membere and David Mbanefo for alleged crude oil fraud.

‎However, Omokore and others were arraigned but they pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.
‎Interestingly, the prosecutor Jacobs, did not oppose the applications, but however told the judge to give them conditions that would make them appear in court for trial.

After the arguments on bail, Justice Nyako granted each of them bail in the sum N50 million.

Omokore and others were arraigned before the court on a nine-count charge slammed against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In her ruling on the bail application of the defendants, Justice Nyako said each of the defendants must produce a surety, who must either be a senior civil servant or must have a landed property.

She said the sureties must depose to an affidavit of means and that the defendants must also deposit their international passport with the court.

Count one on the charge sheet signed by the Deputy Director, Legal and Prosecution Department of the EFCC, Aliyu M. Yusuf reads: “That you, Olajide Jones Omokore, Atlantic Energy Brass Development Ltd, Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Ltd and Kolawole Akanni Aluko (now at large) between May and October, 2013, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, by false pretence and with intent to defraud, induced the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and the Federal Government of Nigeria to deliver to you 5, 652, 227 barrels of crude oil (Brass blend) valued at the sum of US $ 616, 013, 615.27, through the medium of contact (Strategic Alliance Agreement) which delivery was induced by false pretence to wit: the representation that you have technical competence, professional skilss and funds (both local and foreign) necessary to support NPDC in petroleum operation for the OML 60, 62, 62 and 63 and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1 (1b) of the Advance Fee Fraud and other fraud related offences Act CAP A6 2010 Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Punishable under Section 1 (3) of the same Act.”
Count three: “That you, Olajide Jones Omokore, Atlantic Energy Brass Development Ltd, Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Ltd and Kolawole Akanni Aluko (now at large) between May 2013 and March 2014, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court obtained by false pretence and with intent to defraud 7, 551, 867 barrels of crude oil (Brass blend) valued at the sum of US$ 823, 075, 189.95 from Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and the Federal Government of Nigeria on the false pretence that ypu had funds (both local and foreign) necessary to support the Nigerian Petroleum Company Ltd in Petroleum operation for the OML 60, 61, 62 and 63 and you thereby committed an offence, contrary to Section 1 (a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and other fraud related offences Act CAP A6 2010 Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and punishable under Section 1 (3) of the same Act.

Why We Arrested Omisore: EFCC

A leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun State, Iyiola Omisore, was arrested for his alleged role in the #Dasukigate, the EFCC has said.
The spokesperson of the anti-graft agency, Wilson Uwujaren, told PREMIUM TIMES that Mr. Omisore was arrested as part of investigation into a case of receiving and misappropriating N700 million from the Office of the National Security Adviser, between June and November, 2014.
Sambo Dasuki, who was the National Security Adviser during the period, is currently being prosecuted by the EFCC for allegedly spearheading the $2.1 billion scandal popularly referred to as #Dasukigate.

Mr. Omisore was arrested on Sunday morning in Abuja, a family source told PREMIUM TIMES.
The EFCC spokesperson said the commission secured a court warrant for Mr. Omisore’s arrest.
The EFCC in March declared Mr. Omisore wanted for his alleged roles in the scandal. In response, Mr. Omisore, who was the PDP candidate in the last Osun governorship election, threatened to sue the anti-graft agency for N500 million damages for defamation.
Mr. Omisore’s arrest occurs weeks after the EFCC froze the Zenith Bank account of Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti. Mr. Fayose was the PDP candidate in Ekiti at the time Mr. Omisore was the party’s candidate in Osun. While Mr. Fayose won his election and is the current governor, his Osun counterpart lost his. Both men are believed to have benefitted from the #Dasukigate during the time of their elections; an allegation they’ve both denied.
PDP condemns arrest
The PDP on Sunday condemned Mr. Omisore’s arrest and accused the anti-graft agency of being biased.
In an interview with PREMIUM TIMES on Sunday evening, Diran Odeyemi, PDP spokesman in Osun State, said Mr. Omisore had a valid court injunction restraining the EFCC from arresting him.
“There’s a court injunction by senator Omisore against the EFCC not to be arrested,” he said. “We’re never aware that that judgment has been vacated especially on Sunday. It’s very unfortunate that the EFCC is carrying out its assignment in a way that suggests its persecuting the opposition.”
Mr. Odeyemi said the PDP would approach the court for Mr. Omisore’s bail on Monday.
“Today is Sunday, by tomorrow, everything would be more clearer and we’ll have to go to court to enforce his fundamental human right,” he said.

PHYSICALLY IMMENSE POGBA HAS EVERYTHING - GIGGS

The 23-year-old left United for free in 2012 to join Juventus, where he has blossomed into a star. Bringing him back to England would be an expensive exercise for United, but new coach Jose Mourinho could be tempted to spend around the £100 million on the 23-year-old, who scored in France's 5-2 quarter-final win over Iceland at Euro 2016 on Sunday.

EFCC Probes Illegal Transfer Of N216.7m From CBN To Fake Account

THE Economic and Financial and Crimes Commission (EFCC) has commenced investigation into how a syndicate succeeded in transferring the sum of N216.66 million from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) account of the Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS) into an illegal account opened in the name of a company using the Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos branch of a new generation bank.

EFCC is not only probing the illegal transfer, the anti graft agency would also look into the role of the Police High Command in handling the petition earlier sent to it by the real owner of the Ibadan based company, Citadel Concepts Limited, whose company name was used to open the illegal account.

The company’s Managing Director, Mr Joseph Benjamin discovered the infraction when he went to reconcile his account with the FIRS and was subsequently, invited by the police to unravel how his company opened an unauthorised account.

Not satisfied with the police investigation which turned the table against him, Benjamin forwarded a petition to the office of Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo who directed Acting EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, to look into the matter.

A source at the commission confirmed to Daily Sun that several people connected with the opening and operation of the account have been interrogated, even though investigation is ongoing.

Daily Sun also gathered at the weekend that interrogators from EFCC have obtained documents from the affected bank mentioned in the petition, the Corporate Affairs Commission, the three companies connected with the fraud, the CBN and FIRS.

Another source said many officials of these organisations were quizzed while forensic analysis of specimen of signatures used in opening the account has been carried out.

The role of the police in an earlier petition to the office of the Inspector General of Police is also under scrutiny as a result of allegations made against the police in the cause of investigations by the commission.

For instance, part of the document submitted to the EFFC for investigation was to unravel why the police declined requests for the release of the case file to the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecution and the trial of the petitioner for false information under the penal code.
The anti graft agency would also unravel how far the police has gone in the arrest and interrogation of some highly placed people mentioned in the petition sent to it.

One Zakari, a roadside recharge card vendor, told out reporter that the soldier has been a regular guest in the area.

“He comes here everyday to smoke”.

“The worst thing is that each time he comes here, he foments trouble.

“If you dare tell to him, he will beat the hell out of you,” Zakari lamented.

Stop Blaming Fulani Herdsmen For Every Attack, Sultan Tells Nigerians

* Says elite major problem of Nigeria

Mohammed Aminu in Sokoto

Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has advised Nigerians to stop attaching religious connotation to anything negative, decrying the fact that Fulani herdsmen are being accused of every attack in the country.

Speaking during a dinner organised for religious leaders, security agencies and journalists in his palace in Sokoto Saturday night, the monarch wondered why people blame Fulani herdsmen for every attack in their communities.

He noted with dismay that the issue had been politicised while anything negative is being attributed to Fulani herdsmen, even though there were other people committing heinous crimes elsewhere but not linked to religion, ethnicity and region.

“If criminals are doing bad things, they are criminals and they can be found anywhere, in any religion and tribe. Therefore don’t add religious or tribal toga to any act of terrorism.

“Fulani men are only after their cattle not after any government or its policies and programmes. How can they carry weapons, to go and do what with it ?,” he queried.

He observed that Muslims feel more marginalised in the country only that they were not complaining.

“When there is a vacant position and a Hausa man is appointed, we called it ‘northernisation and when a Muslim leader visit an Islamic country we say he is trying to islamise Nigeria.

“In fact, there are many people from other religion and tribes occupying other offices and we witness many christian leaders who have visited Christian countries but nobody said they were planning to Christianise the country,” he said.
The Sultan said Nigeria is a beautiful country and its people love one another, but blamed the elites for some of the challenges bedeviling Nigeria.

Generator Fume Kills CAC Pastor In Warri After Fire Kills His Family

In what people called a bizarre spiritual attack, a Pastor Of a Christ Apostolic Church in Warri has died several months after losing his entire family to a mission house fire.

51-year-old Pastor John Kayode died after inhaling generator fumes at his home in Warri last week.

The deceased who was transferred to Love District in Ughello South LGA of Delta State about two weeks ago died in his home on the 26th of June 2016 after he placed the generator in the corridor of his residence and slept off.

Residents of Agbarho were shocked when the news of his death went viral.

Reacting to the sad incident, Pastor Emmanuel Orode, the Chairman of the Coordinating Council of CAC, Warri District said the mysterious incident is a bad omen.

“This is beyond human comprehension that Pastor John Kayode, who lost his entire family of five while attending a general meeting of pastors at Ikeji Arakeji in Osun State, September 2014 has also died almost in the same circumstance,” Pastor Orode said in tears.

The deceased cleric lost his entire family (a wife and 4 children) to a mysterious fire incident on the 25th of September 2014 while he was attending a pastors meeting in Ikeji Arakeji.

47-Year-Old Guard Sleeps With 6-Year-Old Girl In Lagos

A 47-year-old security guard, identified as Victor Osubie, is in police custody for allegedly defiling a six-year-old girl, Bola (not real name), in Sagamu Road, Ikorodu, Lagos.

Suspect...

was alleged that the suspect, who works at an events centre used by the victim’s mother as an event planner, slept with Bola severally. But the bubble burst on May 30, 2016, when he reportedly slept with the victim.

Sunday Vanguard learned that Victor had intercourse with the victim after she returned from an errand. He allegedly took the kid inside his room, asked her to pull her clothes and then had intercourse her.

The victim was taken to Ikorodu General Hospital for medical examination which confirmed that she had bad intercourse severally.

The case was reported at Sagamu Police Division, Ikorodu Road but the suspect allegedly fled when the police came to arrest him. He was, however, arrested, penultimate Wednesday, while the case was transferred to the State Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Panti for further investigation.

Narrating how she was allegedly slept with by the suspect, the Basic Two pupil said: “Uncle Victor called me to help him buy MTN N100 recharge card for him. When I went to the place where they sell the recharge card, the people were not around. So I went back to give him his money. After giving him his money, he called me back, asked me to pull my pants and he put his manhood inside my private part. Uncle has done it five times to me. The first time was after my graduation ceremony (from kindergarten) last year July.”

The mother also spoke. She said: “While I was in the hall on that fateful day trying to put finishing touches to the decoration for an event, my little daughter walked up to me and said she couldn’t find her elder sister Bola. “Immediately I began to search for her. I went outside the hall to look for her; I didn’t see her, so I came back to the hall.

“Later I saw her walking out of one of the rooms attached to the gallery used by the security guard, Victor. As she got close to where I was, she kept saying, `Mummy, please doesn’t tell my daddy. Mummy, please doesn’t tell my daddy’. I promised her I won’t tell her daddy. But I noticed she was really scared. When she got close me, I held her and I asked her what the matter was. I was shocked when she opened up and alleged that Victor, the security guard whom I have helped countless times, had repeatedly had intercourse with her.

“Immediately, I confronted Victor, who said he was sorry and that he didn’t know what came over him when he slept with my daughter. I told him it was not a matter of he was sorry, and that it was not something that happened once. I called my husband to inform him about the incident and he asked me to report the case to the police. When I got to the police station, they took my daughter to Ikorodu General Hospital for medical examination.

“I thank God who used my little daughter to draw my attention to what had been happening. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have known that he had been taking advantage of my daughter since last year. I guess Victor felt because I was busy, I won’t notice that my daughter was not around.”

Suspect’s story

Looking dejected, the suspect, whose wife and kids are said to be resident in Delta State, said: “I was mad when I did it. I didn’t know what came over me. What will my family and friends say when the news gets to them that I had intercourse with a six-year-old? My wife and kids are in Delta State. I live alone in Lagos. It is only once that I did it.”

Stella Nyanzi Teaches Daughter About Condom Usage (Photos)

Makerere University lecturer, Dr. Stella Nyanzi, is becoming even more controversial. Known for her controversial activism, she is one of “The People’s President” Kizza Besigye’s staunch supporters.

Just the other day, she took to social media to rant after allegedly being denied a visa by British immigration officials.

You can read all the details below;

Now, Dr. Nyanzi has once again taken to social media to explain the “vital” lessons she has been giving her 11-year-old daughter. She is now teaching her to efficiently use condoms!! Yes, you heard me right. An 11-year-old girl is being taught how to use a condom by a university lecturer with a Doctorate, who happens to be her mother!

This is what she posted on her Facebook page:

“I had the ‘condom talk’ with my eleven-year-old daughter. I explained the dangers of unprotected sex, without blinking. Feeling like a Ninja-Warrior, I pulled out a packet of black condoms. She asked about the colour. I told her I preferred condoms that look like the real thing. Luckily, she did not ask for details about the colours of things.

So I talked about the tip of the condom and how it is important to squeeze out the air before rolling it up the waiting specimen. We practiced squeezing gently in order not to tear the tip. She asked about how women with long varnished finger-nails squeeze out the air without tearing the condom. I referred her to her auntie with long varnished finger-nails. God bless their next meeting!

And then I talked about disposing of the condom after using it. I was careful not to leave out any age-appropriate detail of condom-use for my darling daughter. And then I asked if she had any question.

“Yes, Mama Stella,” she said enthusiastically. “I have a question.”

“What do you want to know?” I asked with a sense of foreboding.

“So, how big does the condom become if I blow it Mama?” She asked.

“Oh, big, I guess,” I replied cautiously.

“Please, please, please Mama Stella, can I blow it and see?” she asked.

“Sure. Here,” I said as I held out a condom.

“Eeeooww,” she made a face at the oily lube on the condom.

“For smooth entry and travel,” I explained.

And then my daughter blew and blew and blew the condom. It got much bigger than the balloons we usually blow to decorate our party-rooms. She put it onto her belly-button and it nearly touched the floor. We laughed at the joke. And then, just as the child she is, my daughter began to play catch with the blown condom. She threw it up into the air and reached up to get it. Our condom talk was over!”

So, is this woman normal or she is slowly going bonkers?
